Our etching is done using a top of the line sand blaster to permanently etch our designs into our products. As opposed to chemical etching, which can fade over time, or laser etching which gives a superficial surface etch. We believe sandblasting provides the best etch into any surface, it is actually carved into the substrate. You can easily feel this etch, which gives it the relief that makes this product so special. This is a hand crafted item, no two are exactly alike.
